THE GAMMA PHI BETA EXPERIENCE
Now that you've told us about you and you're in the know about sorority life, let's dive deeper into Gamma Phi Beta. Learn more about us, our philanthropy and member programs using the following buttons. You can also learn more about what it is like to be a new member, an initiated member and alumna of Gamma Phi Beta.
Philanthropy
Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive National Panhellenic Conference National Partner of Girls on the Run (GOTR) International, a nonprofit organization that allows our membership to actively live our philanthropic focus of Building Strong Girls through hands-on service and charitable giving.
Moonball is Gamma Phi Beta’s signature philanthropy event, where collegiate chapters across North America host a kickball, volleyball or basketball tournament each academic year to raise funds for our philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run. Moonball provides a healthy activity for participants, while allowing our members to serve as mentors and leaders in their communities.

Leadership

Gamma Phi Beta’s REAL Leadership program focuses on developing members into responsible, ethical, authentic and lifelong leaders through leadership opportunities and programming at every stage of membership. The REAL Leadership Experience (RLE) is an award-winning four-day retreat held annually in July for first- and second-year members who are ready to grow their leadership skills and confidence.
The Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (BEDI) Summit is a three-time award-winning virtual event held each February that focuses on creating a more just, equitable and inclusive Gamma Phi Beta through keynote speakers, resources and connections with organizational leaders.
Members can also grow through collegiate chapter officer roles in areas such as public relations, event planning, finance, administration, community engagement and education. Newly elected officers receive training through Fidelity for Officers, which includes Officer 101 online lessons, the Officer Transition Workshop, the REAL Leadership Retreat (RLR) for executive council team building and goal setting, and Officer 201 webinars that provide ongoing officer training and support.

Academics
Our members are empowered to achieve in their course of study, and our collegiate chapters will provide guidance to help members succeed.
One of Gamma Phi Beta’s core values is learning. We believe that learning is a lifetime commitment that extends beyond the classroom. Gamma Phi Beta encourages and rewards members to participate in high impact learning such as internships, externships and research!
Members will document their learning through our academic point system, which is designed to reward members for engaging in actions that support their academic pursuits. Each of these actions not only work to build a stronger academic foundation for members, but they promote actions we hope members already take in their daily lives.
Member Education
As a Gamma Phi Beta, you’ll receive exclusive access to a suite of e-learning courses and corresponding in-chapter programs designed to develop your skills for Gamma Phi Beta and beyond. All initiated members participate in educational programming known as Fidelity for Initiated Members. This programming is designed to foster belonging and inclusion and to further develop members into confident women of character.
Initiated members engage in educational lessons selected by chapter leaders. These lessons are designed to grow members’ skills in such areas as time management, career development, financial health, women’s empowerment, stress management and more. Gamma Phi Beta is thrilled to support members’ holistic development to support their success during and long after their collegiate years. .
In addition to the required fall and spring lessons, initiated members will also engage in additional educational lessons selected by chapter leaders that are designed to foster continued growth and meet chapter needs.

Sterling Anderson (Washington)
"I chose GPhi because I was genuinely inspired by every member I met during recruitment. Everyone was so friendly, authentic and uplifting. The energy these women bring and the dedication they show to their friendships, academics, families, jobs and passions is truly incredible. I’ve never felt more welcomed or supported by a group of people. I knew this was a place where I could grow, thrive and become the best version of myself throughout college!”
